Another blockbuster Rajini starrer, Padayappa, that stunned the box office then, is going to be released again, all over Tamilnadu! The haughty Neelambari and the gallant Padayappa, always at loggerheads, battling wits, was an amazing entertainer, which held the audience in raptures. It was easily one of K.S. Ravikumar ’ s best movies! The re-release of the movie sounds like a fabulous idea. Will Sivaji see its competitor in Padayappa?!

Superstar TV on Pipeline

Rajinikanth and his younger daughter Soundarya, a graphic designer, who runs an animation studio, Ochre, are reportedly planning to start a global television channel. The channel will be named "Superstar TV".Sources are quoted as saying that Soundarya has been keen on launching a TV channel in association with her father and working on it for quite some time now. She has overcome her father's initial resistance and he is said to have given the nod. She is preoccupied with her pet project, "The Sultan the Warrior", a 3D animation film on the superstar Soundarya has now gone abroad in connection with this project which she wants to complete at the earliest. Soundarya, according to reports, wants the proposed TV channel to be different from other Tamil channels which are mostly film-based and stereotyped. She wants "Superstar TV" to be a global channel like the National Geography.TV channels are mushrooming and most of the channels are in South India. The latest addition to the list is Kalaignar TV started by DMK chief and Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. More channels are planned to be started in the coming months.

A R Rahman talks about Rajini’s Sultan - The Warrior

A R Rahman, who is all set to initiate the works of "Sultan - The Warrior", the movie in which Superstar Rajinikanth would appear in an animated character for the first time, has said that the film will come with lively songs which will surely entice the masses.
Singing paeans for the movie, Rahman says, "Sultan is not like other Rajini films, the film don’t have a usual entry song advising fans how to lead a happy life. However, there will be peppy numbers which will make audience to dance in theaters." On Sivaji, Rahman says, "I am happy that all the songs have been well received. I heard from Shankar that Rajini sir was happy with my work." Adding to this, "Latha Rajinikanth has sent a bouquet to me as a token of appreciation."

Super Star among Top 50 Indians:

America's leading business magazine Business Week has named Superstar Rajinikanth in their top 50 Indian personalities list. The magazine called the Superstar the "King of the South Indian Film Industry and the 'the deciding force of South Cinema'. Other names on the list were The Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, former Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran, business leaders Ratan Tata and Mukesh Ambani, Bollywood iconAmithab Bachchan,Sharukh khan Actress Aishwarya roy, cricketers Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and "movers and shakers" of modern contemporary India.

Petition against Boss - Sivaji

A second petition has been filed in the City Civil Court, Chennai, seeking an interim stay against dubbing or remaking of Rajinikanth-starrer "Sivaji: The Boss" in other languages pending disposal of the original petition which alleged that the story of the film was plagiarized

Sudalaikannu alias Jayarajdevan has filed both the petitions. He has stated in his second petitions that he has already moved the City Civil Court with a plea that the story of "Sivaji" belonged to him. He has sought appropriate relief. This petition is still pending disposal. The court has directed notice to the producers of the film.

But even while the petition is pending, moves are afoot to dub or remake the film in other languages, including Hindi. Japanese, Chinese and Malaysian versions are also being planned, petitioner claimed.

The petitioner has prayed that the court should grant an interim stay against the dubbing or remaking of the film till his original petition is disposed of.

Today Sivaji's 50th day:

The world still can't get enough of Shivaji, which features superstar Rajinikanth and Shreya Saran in the lead. When the movie in its Tamil version celebrates its 50th day of running today, it will soon be dubbed into Hindi, Chinese and Japanese. The films investors have recovered all the investment that has gone into Shivaji worldwide and they are reaping rich profits off the film. The city's theatres are still screening the film to packed houses. Reacting to this response from audiences, the producer AVM Saravanan has decided to get the film dubbed in Hindi, Chinese and Japanese. His idea to dub the film has been received by the films music composer AR Rahman and Superstar Rajini. The ace composer has agreed to redo the songs with Japanese, Chinese and Hindi lyrics. Imagine what the 'Ballelakka...' song will sound like in Chinese? As far as the Hindi dubbed version goes, Rajini himself will dub for the film. He is known to dub himself for his Hindi films but he interestingly doesn't dub for his Tamil films. So it will be a Rajini first.

Asin who is very busy with hindi films wants to be Rajini’s next heroine. ’Vel’ And ‘Dasavatharam’ are her current projects in tamil. In Vel wich is directed by Hari, she is playing a different role as “Miranda” Meenatchi a TV anchor(like pepsi uma). So she started watching and learning the mannerism of real Vjs. She says”Iam very happy that im paring with Surya again in vel after Ghajini and I hope this will also be a blockbuster movie”.

Asin wants to be Superstar’s next heroine:

Acting with Rajinikanth is the dream of every actor in Tamil Cinema. Actress Asin in no exception to the craze. After acting with one superstar (Kamal Hassan) in Dasavatharam, she wants to now act with Rajinikanth. She saysI hope he calls me to act in his next movie.? In Dasavatharam, Asin plays a double role - that of twin sisters... This is the first time that she is playing a dual role. She is playing these two roles in the film in which Kamal is acting in 10 roles. Insiders say that she acts opposite Kamal only when playing both roles. Two of the five songs in the film have been picturised featuring her and the legend.
